I was wondering if its possible to create a bootable disc/image of my hard drive so its faster when I reinstall windows? I end up reinstalling windows every couple of months and its a pain to reinstall everything. I tried making a backup with nero 7, but that didn't work. Is it possible to make a disc so it puts everything back on the hard drive without having to go through the whole reinstall process? I have only programs on my windows hard drive, so it ends up being only 6-7Gb of data.

buy norton ghost. create a standard installation. use ghost to create an image of your boot partition. when you want to reinstall, use ghost to restore the image. ghost allows writing to cd & dvd as well as creating an image file.

so your saying that if I make an image of my hard drive on norton ghost I can boot off the dvd and avoid having to reinstall everything one thing at a time?

Drive image 7 or V2i Protector from powerquestpowerquest. they arwe the official working versions of ghost.
