wow.. hello well my comp has been making those noises so i decided to buy a Nb-1 i was told i can put this on my chipset.. and by chipset that is the CPU right??
well i got this one http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16835109116

i was told this fits the asus a8n deluxe well im extremely noob and this fan and heatsink are Tiny about half the size of my current one... i dont get how this is suppose to fit???? thanks- John!
 
That's not for the cpu that's for the northbridge chipset which i circled in the pic.

You need a cutting tool to take the old chipset out :D lol.
You probably want to take off old the NB heatsink or fan, not the chipset itself.
 
is their anyway to take it out without taking the mobo out.. and this is the newer set of the mobo with no external "4" screws Showing
 
yeah, it's usually really simple. What you need to do is:
1) Take off the side of the case.
2) Give yourself some light to investigate.
3) Decipher the attachment mechanism and it's parts.
4) Remove the heatsink and fan with your new found investigation.
