think about it. if 5 million people are pirating software that costs 100-350 bucks a piece, you do the math. of course they care

if they wouldn't cause all of that Chaos previously, they would still lock computers that they determine to be bootleg. they have a blacklist set of keys now. if you have one of those keys and head to windows update, they will still lock that computer

does this mean that if you have a pirated copy and you go to windows update they will lock your entire computer or jus windows update?

it depends. if you have a blacklisted key, you get locked up computer. if you have a praited copy that not on the blacklist, you just can't update your windows
