yeh it may be ancient but cant be that ancient if cd drives/burners etc are still using ata-33.. yes the hard drives will work but will run at whateva the maximum that the motherboard supports (33) like trotter said

If you want to get closer to unlocking the new drive's full potential, drop in an IDE controller into one of the PCI slots.
