SLI is a waste, you don't need it. Get a dfi lanparty ultra-d, and with the 50 bucks you saved you might be able to buy 2gb of ram.

no... although i will probably keep that ram

i can't afford the 2gb set right now .. probably upgrade to another 1gb set later (2x512) .. although i think the most benefits i'll get from that will be in bf2..

unless that card just got off of auto notify i didn't notice..

Yeah don't go with xfx cards. Evga is always the way to go.
Get either a dfi or msi board, in my opinion their whole line of sk 939's are better than asus

decided to hold off until later this week to see how much someone i know can get the 7800gtx for me.

if i could get the 7800gtx, would it be best to worry about getting it and not the extra gig of memory?

I would much rather have a 7800gt and 2 gigs than 7800gtx and 1 gig

but that's just my opinion
