Hmmm. I have an eVGA 6600gt and 05 is a slideshow for me too. I still get a decent score though. Let it go all the way through.

What settings are you using for 3D Mark '05? According to this review by Tom's Hardware, the 6600GT didn't run in 1600x1200 with 4x AA and 8x AF. I would double check the settings just to make sure, before you decide to send it back.

ive downloaded a trial version of 3d mark 05.. it uses default settings s1024 768. no AA..

i ran it all the way.. my score was 850..

You should have gotten a score between 3000 and 4000. I would definately call for some customer service. Have you checked to see if the fan was working, or if the heatsink set up looked like it might not be attached right? Check the cards temp to see if its normal or high.

Edit: also I just realized that you're talking about an AGP card. That card requires more power than can be provided by the AGP slot, so make sure that you have the proper lead from the power supply plugged into the card.

the fan is workin,.. the power supp plug is connected.
ive rote the email both newegg and eVGA... still waiting for reply.

idk how to check the temp on my card.

ill also see if reinstalling windows will help. altho i used driver cleaner before

i had an evga 6600gt agp 8x and it was horrible for me too, it was like a slide show for me too on 3d mark we have pretty much the same system, and when i played videos also it would just lock up my computer. so i sold it on ebay
