avalanche the 6600gt is a decent video card but it doesnt own. when i had my 6600gt i ran some games with decent setting but u could never push on heavy aa or anistropic filtering. but yea the 9800xt is decent for a second computer. but the 600gt doesnt own

W? the 9800XT i run all my games high including BF2, HL2 (and lost coast) CSS and others, maxed settings, 1280x1024 4xAA and 8xAF. So if your 6600GT dosent own then you have problems.

Don't make me remember does horrible days!!!!!. Before i own my 9800Pro i indeed have a FX it was if i remember correct Albatron 5600 something like that. That card when i played Unreal 2003 if i'm correct got some weird graphical issue that happend in all 3D games that i played, it was really annoying it was like if i oc the VGA but the card was not oc in fact i didn't even know what that means really well in those days

I played UT2003 maxed settings 2xAA 1024x768 w/ my 5600ultra, you got problems to man somewhere. Your card might have been bad though, who knows

Yea my friend has a 9800XT and he loves it. We're always arguing over who's card is better, my X700 Pro or his 9800XT. I'd have to say they're pretty close.

The 9800XT by far owns your X700. Also your X700 is a pro card so its a sliced down version. My 9800XT runs circles around that x1300 by far.

about 8 months ago i use to think the 9800xt was a killer video card now that i think back lol whoa. i had a 9500pro flashed to a 9700pro lol and it was alright lol. man i actually ran games with that thing but really it was a decent card. i belive i scored 2000 in 3dmark05 and like 4500 in3dmark03. and this is with some heavy overclocks. i also mounted a socket a heatsink to it. lol for some reason i do this to all my video cards lol. but i had its core from 277mhz to 360mhz/ and also its memory from 540mhz to 650mhz (months later)
the card then started to artifact on every boot up in windows. so i feared it was dead. then i pulled it out of my system 2 weeks later i try it again and it works lol im like whoa even at those high overclocks! so i sell it on ebay for 72dollars with shipping, i couldnt belive it lol. but seriously the 9800xt isnt that great of a video card. i mean it was good really was good but sad to say its a dinosuar now. hehehe i dont recall the 9800xt scoring minimum of 3000 in 3dmark05. and i do belive a x700pro hit 3800 in 3dmark05 before with some heavy overclocks lol. and pp i think ur 9800xt was before a 9800pro and pzero flashed its bios. and i mean a good video card is when u can run 6xaa support and runs 16xaf smoothly. i run bf2 at 1280/1024 6xaa 16xaf high quality. and its 60-80fps. when a artillery strikes close to me i belive it drops below 40 or maybe 30. but never a frame rate is seen. but yea dude your 6800gt is seriously whooping up on that 9800 dino-xt

I do run it at those settings w/ no lag what so ever. Its a good card no matter and it owns the X700pro, sorry.

dude its truley impossible for you to run bf2 at 1280/1024 16xaf 6xaa with a 9800xt trust me i know my video cards. it is possible to run it at those settings but not possible for you to have a steady frame rate above 30. i mean its completly impossible. most people have troubly running a 6600gt on bf2 with 4xaa 1280/1024 and thats with no anistropic. dude seriously do u expect us to belive u run it at those settings? were not stupid and as i mean with every thing high also. its ummm its umm not possible with that video card

dude the 9800xt can barley break 3000 in 3dmark05. if you are beating the x700pro why is it beating you in 3dmark05? i mean what can u expect from 8 pipes on 412mhz core? i guess the video card is good for what it cost but im just trying to prove a point here that you cannot run these games at what you say u can. and the 9800xt doesnt support 6x antialiasing.

i got 3500 3dmark scores and thats with my old system, wonder if i tested it with my dual core and 2GB's of ram i surely would have got liek 4000

and i beat riceball X700pro in 3dmark though he was too lazy to download 3dmark05 so we could never see who got th ehigher scorel

yeah i was going to buy the 6600 GT agp (or 6800 which ever comes in agp) then i upgraded to pci-e and then decide why not go all out so i bought the 7800 GTX OC 256 mb and then i was and cod 2 was amazing then i put it in sli with my friends and got a flat 10.7k 3dmark05 with nothing overclocked, mines currently overclocked from 460/1.3 to 522/1.43 and pc is clocked at 9% (3.5) oc i can push 8k 3dmark05 on my computer

dude seriously do u expect us to belive u run it at those settings?

When i get home on sunday i wil take screenies of me playing BF2 t those seettings and my 9800XT supoprting 6x AND temporal AA. Just ebcasue ppl dont know how to program their computers for speed dosent mean i cant make mine own. I was playing HL2 maxed out w/ 6x AA and 8X AF w/ a 5700 OCd. I know what im doing and as soon as i get home i will prove to you. Also, w/ a card like that you cant expect frames over 30 but it dosent lag and thts all i care about.
