If your not overclocking you don't need the xms ram, just get value ram and save yourself a 100 bucks and upgrade it wherever you feel necessary, believe me you don't need expensive ram unless your overclocking.

Okay, so if I don't go SLI, is there a better option as far as motherboards go? By the way, I'm going through and exchanging things and I will post the new parts when finished.

thanks for the help thus far.

EDIT: I really need advice on a powersupply, I don't really know what to look for!

alright, I've decided to go with the thermaltake armor case. Just need a recomandation on the PSU. With the advice I've recieved i've been able to drop the price to just under $1700.

XMS ram from corsair is valueselect hidden in heatspreaders and overpriced :p thats why no one likes it.

Judging by that motherboard, you arent doing much for overclocking, so I suggest getting rid of that XMS memory, and getting some ValueRAM from Kingston, Corsair, etc. ValueRAM performs equally to expensive RAM unless you are overclocking, and it is a heck of a lot cheaper. Have a look at my guide on RAM for some more info.

The 4ms LCD is a little excessive. If you went to 8ms, you would not likely notice a difference in perfomance, but will surely notice a price differnce.

Since you are getting an SLi mobo, you could get 2x 7800GTs if you save money by following my previous suggestions

you dont think asus boards can OC?

Alright, I'm not just going to switch mobo's because a couple of you simply say "if you're not oc'ing get a dif mobo". If you could help me understand the difference in performance that would be extremely helpful.
