Need help on a fatal crash

Hello

My friend was playing rome total war; all was well untill suddenly the game's sound started to skip and then it completly froze up, couldn't budge a single movment. So then I restarted the computer but now every time it starts up it either goes to the windows loading screen or just goes black and stays there. I went to BOIS and I loaded fail safe default; still did the same problem and optimised default which still did the same problem but now ever since loading the two defualts the screen just stays black.

Theres nothing else I can think of doing at this time, can someone help?

You can try starting in safe mode F8 upon booting.If that dosnt work pull the side off if your ok with doing that and see how much dust is in the CPU and Power supply.If your going to touch anything in the computer make sure and ground yourself first.Try to reseat your vid card sound card and memory.All I can think of at the moment..

Is the computer giving you any beeps?

Try reseating all your internal connections... those Splatoid mentioned, as well as the cables to your hard drive and optical drives.

If you have a spare PSU, you may want to try it as well.
