Whats better between these two processors, im looking into buying a Laptop.

What processor do you recommend???

Pentuim-M has much better batter life. I have a 1.4Gz and I can get up to 6 hours on one charge. Some of the reivews I've read say that the 1.4P-M is the equivalent of 2.6P4. I don't know how acurrate that is but I'm very happy with the performance I get. I would recommend getting the fastest Pentium-M you can afford.

basically is a slower clock with a larger and faster cache. The P4 is the workhorse processor that eat a ton of power. The M is a more elegant chip that does it better with less power.

Hope this helps.

Centrino is only good if you want am integrated wi-fi, otherwise as they said the P4-M is the way to go.

for a centrino. Intel says you double the ghz and you get the equvilent of the p4.

Yeah, the centrino would be the best way to go. You could get higher performance from a desktop p4 in a laptop, like the 2.8, 3.0 ect. but you will pay for it in battery life. If you are going to plugged in all the time, then that wouldn't matter, but what's the point of a laptop if you never have it unpluged? The centrino's have great processing power and are unmatched in battery life.
