accidentally deleting the cd drive!!

my friend has accidentally deleted the cd drive on his computer, do you know any way he could retain this back? he cannot use windows media player or any other music programs. what would i need to use to fix this?

yeah, ...u can't just DELETE a hard drive. Like he said, when you restart, shoul dbe there again,......*****.

Restart the computer. I don't think your telling us everything.. How did he delete the drive?
