Opteron 170/175 Stepping 0530...

Im looking for the Opteron 170/175 DC CPU and i want to find one the stepping CCWBE 0530 TMPW and all i find is E6. How do you go about finding out if the stepping is CCWBE 0530 TMPW? Anyone know where i can find one!? Ill give em a cookie with sprinkles

Lol dude, its pretty much impossible to find out with those from a retailer or online retailer. You can check ebay or other people who had a 0530 but you wont find one from newegg.

If you buy from an online retailer, there is no way to find out what you will get. Its totally random that way.

eBay is the only place where you can pick out a specific processor, and thats if someone is selling it.

There were a few sites you could call up and ask for a specific stepping, but I have forgotten what they were. You'd be hard pressed to find an 0530 now.

I find a bunch of 170/175/146 with steppings of 0536, 0540 on eBay..same OC ability?

Nope. 0530 and 0531 (or was it 0534?) will overclock the best.

the 30 and 34 yes got some good OC's still need to see what my 41 can do im hoping for 2.6
