I've heard that Longhorn is just a code name and there'll be a different name when it officially comes out.

Longhorn is the codename only,, as it will not be out until 2005 (officially),, they will rename it then

I have heard something along the lines of window MMV as well,,
or something just as lame as that anyway, considering the Nerds that work in Redmond
