IHgh Density Memory

Hi: I have found a gig (single stick) of high density ddr 400 memory for $60 shipped. I have an Intel D865PERL (socket 478) mobo. Is this CL3 memory compatible with that board?? Or are there significantly bad issues with this memory supported or not?

CL 3 is pretty slow, Look for a cash latency of 2, if you care about speed.

Bump: Speed no...compatibility yes.....???? I'll google the differences between low and high. I can find nothing on the Intel web site for the compatibility issues for the D835PEEL mobo and high densityh memory.

Nevermind. all 3200 mem is DDR 400 cl3. The density is defined by the chip size 16, 32, 64 low, 128, 256 1gig high. Thanks anyway!

Not all memory is Cl 3, Mine isn't.
