Computer Needed For Stretch Limos

Hi All

Here's a little task for you.

We run a fleet of custom limousines, were probably the pimp my ride of the limo industry.

We are presantly designing, a futuristic limousine, which will be called the Devil (we already built the joker.. which was voted europes best limo)

Ok enough of the sales pitch. Heres what I need,

A powerful and ROBUST laptap, that can run of 12V, with large hard drives, and MP4, we want to use the laptop, as an entertainment centre. We presantly use archos 480 (small mp4 players), but we want to control the whole vehicles electronics, (strobes, disco lights,stargazer roof, stereo etc etc)
And we want to offer clients on the move internet connection, hopefully the Vodafone connection will suffice .
We want the ultimate limousine.
do you think this is possible ? and if so, any ideas on how much this might cost.

I would find a place to put a pc(running on media center) so its well hidden, and you can control everything in it through wireless keyboard/mouse, or a little trouch screen located near the passenger seat.

I'm pretty sure you can get an adapter for a normal outlet that you can plug into the 12v output.

What is the reason to get a laptop when you can do so much more with a normal pc?

Was just thinking , about customer using I/Net from anywhere in limo ?, and using puter at home

i agree with rocky. a hidden pc would be better. the only issue would be powering it. you could set the pc up with a wireless network interface to route to customers laptops and have the pc running off wireless broadband.
