My desktop icons are messed up, help!

I need help, for some reason, all of my desktop icons are really spaced out. I try doing auto-align but it just sets them to that same spot. It might have to do with a program i got called desktop themes. As soon as i changed to a theme, it screwed up my icons. I removed the program. What should I do?

you're using windows xp, correct?

right-click on the desktop
click appearance
click advanced
click icon
space out the icons however you want


i used to have that problem on my old windows 98 computer...

i would suggest a virus check anyways, even though your problem is fixed

a virus could have messed up your icons.
