delete temporary internet files

hi,
i wanna ask whether i can just delete the " temporary internet files " like that ? coz it takes 2 gb of my c drive .... i use scandisk to delete those file but seem not working .

So, if i just delete those files , will it affect my others files?

there is nothing bad that will happen if u delete your temporary internet files they just make the pages load faster and save files into a temporary place for example if u say "open file" instead of "save file to another location".

best way i've found to remove temporary files is to go to C:\Documents and Settings\(username)\Local Settings\Temp and delete everything in there. some files might not get deleted because they're being used. try Safe Mode

Open IE, then select, tools -> options from the menu. When you have internet options open, click Settings on the General tab. In the settings area, change the Amount of disk space used to 200 mb. Should resolve the problem for you as far as space goes.
