some quick questions

hey all,

i currently have an intel processor with a msi mobo and 2x HDD

if i was to go out and buy a new mobo and a amd 64bit cpu, but i used my old ram and HDD

would i have to reformat the HDD or could i just plug them in and it would all work fine ?

Nope. You have to reformat. All of the chipset drivers get SNAFUed when you change mobos, making a reinstall necessary.

depends on how old your mobo is. Are they simms or dimms? Another thing to find out is what kind of ram you new mobo takes and what kind you already have. I personally wouldn't put anything slower than recommended on my mobo. But given it's the right kind/type of ram, it shouldn't be a problem to use it on your new mobo.
