need help with picking lcd monitor

my price range is pretty much around $250, i will be using the monitor for mostly gaming. if there's ones better then the links above and around that price please tell me

First one. It has a faster refresh rate.

CRT's are always better for gaming though...

CRTs are hard on your eyes but they do have a faster response rate. I would choose the first one as it has an 8ms response time and is only a few dollars more expensive than the other. Plus Acer makes quality products.

what are good resolutions to look for? i will be usuing a 6600gt if that helps.

Get the first one, the Acer. It's faster for gaming, and for LCD's, the native resolution for almost all LCD's 17" and 19" is 1280x1024. For most 15" LCD's it's 1024x768. There are a few LCD's with 1600x1200, but they're hard to come across. 1280x1024 is a good resolution for gaming, so you should be fine with that.
