If i have a CPU with 533fsb can i use DDR2 677mhz with it will it just under clock the DDR2 or not work at all.

Depends On what motherboard you have but, it sounds like you motherboard wouldn't support DDR2 since they are go into to longer DIMM slots, have more pins and take a high voltage.

533 FSB sounds kinda slow to have a mobo support DDR2 so Im guessing no.

But just for the hell of it, what motherboard do you have?

My Mobo does Have DDR2 the only reason im installing a CPU with 533fsb is becouse im going to upgrade it later when i get more money
