Umm i want to build a PC but my limit is $1000. The things i want no matter what are these

Processor: Amd 3800+
VideoCard:7800GT
Motherboard:One with good ratings
Case:One with good ratings
HDD:(one 10,000RPM{if possible} and one 200GB)
Ram:One with good ratings (compatiable with mobo)

I want to buy this after christmas and is it possible?

I kind of wanna keep this PC for a while. If you guys know what kind of parts i should get please let me know.

Budget Start: $1,000.00

AMD Athlon 64 X2 3800+ $322.00
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16819103562

EVGA 7800 GT 256 Meg $309.00
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16814130249

DFI LANPARTY UT nF4 Ultra-D $128.00
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produ...&Category=0&minPrice=&maxPrice=&Go.x=0&Go.y=0

Western Digital 74GB 10,000 RPM $161.00
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16822144160

Corsair 1GB DDR RAM $72.50
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16820145440

Budget remaining: $7.50

Comments: I honestly think you will have to lower you standards for your video card and processor. These are your required parts and there is absolutly no budget left to work with.

Wow thanks for the reply so fast but i dont need the 10,000 RPM right now i will just save the 161 and spend like 50 on a 200GB (ofcourse after rebate and not from newegg)

But umm i dunno if you did it but i am a total newb and i dunno how to find out if they are compatable. 168 - 50(hdd http://shop3.outpost.com/product/4008252 ) 124 for case and powersupply

I reccomend saving a little more, so you can get a nice looking case, not to mention a big case, and also a good power supply.

Maybe 20 to 40 bucks more.

Well i can always pay a little extra but i a mid-size atx case but i don't really want to spend more then i already need to. You know any good case (midsize-atx ofcourse, and a powersupply on the side)

I going to buy this stuff after christmas and hopefully something else will come on sale.

I just bought new parts for my new PC (Mobo, GPU, CPU, Case) at $731. If your limit is $1000 I'd get a different CPU. This is what I got (as far as Mobo, CPU, Case), which I'm very happy with, and what you could go with with your budget:

Mobo: Abit AN8 Ultra Nvidia nForce4 Ultra Socket 939
http://www.newegg.com/product/product.asp?item=N82E16813127212

CPU: AMD Athlon 64 3700 w/San Diego Chipset Socket 939
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16819103539

Case: CHENMING Black 1.0mm SECC Server Computer Case
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16811125475

Above Total: $406.50
Above Total w/ EVGA 7800 GT: $715.50

I'd got with OCZ DDR 400 PC 3200 RAM. With your budget I'd go with this one for $117.73:

With a balance of $166.67, you should go with cheaper HDD. This one is 7200 RPM w/ 200GB: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16822144153

Your remaining balance is: $74.67. You still need a power supply and to pay for total shipping so you're really cutting it close. You should probably spend about $50 on the power supply which gives you $24.67 left for shipping. You may need a little more to cover shipping cost. Hope this helps!

I decided to go do a little searching and here is what i came up with.

ASUS A8N-SLI Socket 939 NVIDIA nForce4 SLI ATX AMD Motherboard - Retail $122
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?item=N82E16813131524

eVGA 256-P2-N517-AX Geforce 7800GT 256MB GDDR3 PCI Express x16 Video Card - Retail $309
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?item=N82E16814130249

CORSAIR XMS 1GB (2 x 512MB) 184-Pin DDR SDRAM DDR 400 (PC 3200) Unbuffered Dual Channel Kit System Memory Model TWINX1024-3200C2PT - Retail $105
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?item=N82E16820145450

AMD Athlon 64 3700+ San Diego 1GHz FSB Socket 939 Processor Model ADA3700BNBOX - Retail $233
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?item=N82E16819103539

Antec TRUEPOWERII TPII-550 550W Power Supply - Retail $89.99
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16817103931

That leaves me with a HDD and a case? (always comes on sale during holidays)

Total Price is: $859.98 (with shipping, weird only 99cents on newegg)

Leaves me with 140 for HDD (i don't care about how much it cost before rebate is just after rebate i care about so assuming i spend $50 on a HDD like i posted before leaves me 90 for just a case.

go with that Chenming linked above. its only 62 plus shipping. its big which means lots of space and is very durable

ur getting SLI mobo.....do u plan on buying another video card in the future? if not, then u dont need it because SLI mobo's are more expensive.
