Ok my friend just tried swapping a CPU to another motherboard, and the PC wasnt turning on so he called me and went over to his house, checked out the CPU the were 5 Pins Bent, is there anyway to fix thix or his he completely screwed.

Also should his computer not even turn on with the bent pins on the CPU.

Well you could try unbending the pins by very carefully using small pliers. However the pins are very delicate and the chance of them snapping off is high. IÂ’ve only tried this on Pentium IÂ’s, K6Â’s and other older CPUs but their pins look stronger than the pins youÂ’ll find on a modern CPU. I do not recommend this for older CPUs and especially not for modern CPUs and should only be done as a last resort. I am also not responsible if you totally wreak your friends CPU.

Good luck

Use a mechanical pencil, the kind you have to put sticks of graphite in.

Take the graphite out of it, slide the tip down over the pin, and gently straighten it back up.

Then slap the snot out of your buddy for screwing it up in the first place.
