ati or nvidia

Well anybody who uses standard ATI or nvidia drivers shouldn't be here to begin with. Use the Omega drivers, they are a LOT faster, and they're for ATI and nvidia. and ati released a new driver for the x1k series that gives it a 30% boost in opengl, i cant confirm that however because I have never owned an x1k ati card. also 7800gt would probably be better, you can get it on newegg for as low as $279 now, which is an insane deal because the 6800gt is $285

I'm using a tweaked Forceware 81.95 driver, and it gives better performance AND better image quality.
*edit*
I just remembered, Nvidia's 81.29 drivers and above take advantage of dual core CPU's

thaks every one i think that i will go with the 6800 if i can find one if i cn i will just go with a 6600 and later get a pci-e mobo and a 7800

yeah, but you'll be disappointed how.
it's called Adaptive AA.
it basically changes the level of AA depending on the load. in otherwords, to get petter performance, it turns down AA.
