o nvm on my last post...found 7800GTX 512mb on newegg for $749 (!!)
i thought it will be little cheaper
do u think its really worth it?

ok i made a list of parts that i should get here....
pls let me know if u think of any improvement or changes i should make.
1 thing im not sure about is the HD..do i really need 10000rpm drive for it?
i was thinking to put OS on 10000rpm drive and others for mass storage.
mb i should go for 2x7200rpm drives. and for the case i read this silver kandolf is good.
but mb if anybody know better 1s...let me know..

So your saying that if he upgrades to, 4 X 2 cold cathode lights, 10 200GBS HD's in raid 0, 4-8 DVD/CD burners, maybe a pelit or 2, he won't need that PC one I showed.

Highly unlikly but possible. Anything is possible and don't call anyone an idiot, Mr, ive only got 190 posts and feel like I know everything.

ummm...all ur comments r very helpful but pls don start any flame war here...
noone is stupid or dumbass...just a thought about the **** power supply it is..
and someone who has more knowledge about copmputer hardware doesn mean hes a smarter than any1...just be friendly and dont be so childish here pls..this is just a place to exchange some thoughts and knowledge about..well..computer..not the place to prove urself better or smarter than other..

First build!!

yes its done.....actually...almost..
its missing vcard...
other than that, i guess its done..im gettin the vcard next week. (cant wait..)
so this is my first build and first windows PC.
i wanted to get a gamin PC w good components and playable w/o OC (for now) and lasts long. and in the future ill OC if i want to...
that was my plan so this is i think its good for that..(well, better be good..)
+ i mistakenly ordered OCZ Titanium ram instead of Gold..looks like titanium is very optimized at stock frequency..so i wanna keep it that way for now..
Ill OC in the future just to see how this ram goes tho..
(well...when i become comfortable OC stuff)
i hope this machine will last for 4~5 years? w some upgrades..in btw.
i want to get every penny worth from this...(not like some rich kids whos daddy pays for it..)
and ill put as less apps as possible and make it dedicated gaming rig.
i do all my work and everything else on my mac.

so here it is...no mods or anything...just plain good components.
(look sig for spec)<-------im so broke....

FrontHalfopenandOpen.jpg

this is the front side. i flipped the blinking "THERMALTAKE" logo...looks better..
i should have gotten some nice Lian-Li case...but its good enough and HUGE enough to work around for first time builder.

back-top-front-open.jpg

back and front side. front has 2x12" in-take fan and all silver finish.

Heatsink.jpg

zalman9500 heatsink. mb i shouldnt used the stock thermal paste..but o well..

and lets hope i can tweak this in right way...cuz i have NOT A CLUE about bios or even WINDOWS...last time ive even seen windows is 98..lol
im pretty sure ill need some help later...
and ill post more pics when i get the vcard and mb show u LEDs too...
thanks for all ur help. (and wish me it boots..)
