2.4 GHz Prescott upgrade ..

Howdy,

I have a dilemma .. I've purchased a 2.4 Gig Prescott w/1MB L2 and I cannot get this thing to run. I've tried two different motherboards, switched to a 650W power supply and I can't figure out why it won't work. Here's what I have: 2.4, 533 FSB, new motherboard, new ram, new video card, new power supply .. can this thing be shorting out in the case? I have an antec case and I'm one step away from scrapping everything and buying a new case. Any suggestions?

Possible, always .. I'll try to get someone to check it out for me .. it was a boxed retail so I thought it was probably good, I've replaced about everything else .. so I'll try to get the processor checked.

what's actually happening? does it start to POST? or do you just get a black screen?

Hey, it does not post, just a blank screen, I get zilch. Think the processor's doa?
