if i wanted to run raid, do i need two of the exact same drives, or can i just get a seagate 80GB and a WD 80GB? both sata150

Raid 0 is good but remember if you are going for it you better be prepare i suggest you get another HD and have all your storage programs e.c.t in that HD and use the Raid 0 just for the operating system, gaming e.c.t. Cuz if you store all your data in the Raid 0 and one of the HD fails or damaged you will LOSE all the data.

Yes get 2 exactly HD don't take chances it may work with diference brands but remember that no all HD have the same average seek time e.c.t.
