i have a PCIe 6800. i overclocked it and its idle tempurature now is about 118°F/48°C and after playing a game for a while it gets up to 125°F/52°C is that normal. my nvidia tempurature monitor says that the slowdown threshhold is 257°F/125°C but that seems VERY high.

Graphics cards are designed to run hot (well not intended to be, but are designed to withstand the heat) But yeah, my 6800 was 68*C on idle.

yeah, graphics card can take way more heat them CPU and run hotter obviously. the graphics card fries at a point of 120C, but i personally like nothing above 90C
