oh wise one... please help!

i have two old computers! my old one that i havent used for 3 years and one that my friend just passed down to me.

i formatted them both and now i want to make one really good one. the other im gonna put in the common room for my roomies.

i'm embarrassed to ask cause this probably really shows how un-computer-savvy i am, so be nice please.

my question is which one is better?

intel pentium III processor
803 MHZ, 256MB of RAM

or

intel pentium III processor
551 MHz, 384MB of RAM

In XP you can get away with a slower processor if you have more ram. I would keep the 800mhz p3 and just add another 256mb of ram...

i would take all the ram and hdd's from the 500mhz one and put it in the 800mhz one. However this will render one computer useless so i would do what chog says. Just take 256mb stick from the 500mhz one into the 800mhz one.
