Command prompt help

ok, i wana shut down my friends laptop, as a jolke. and someone said that i can do that by using the command prompt.

we use dell latitude d600's and he said that i can just enter in his sliver tag number and it will do, but he didnt tell me how

so will someone please tell me how?

Shut down from Command Prompt????? Ummmmm, you could just type EXIT but I believe that does a restart, how would you be doing this as a joke? You mean you're remotely connected and you can get in his command prompt???? If thats the case run a google search on some DOS commands...

yeah do a google, Hell you can send him a batch file with commands in to format his c: drive but thats just mean and he`d have to be stupid enough to accept a .BAT file.

lol exit lol haha there are a bunch of commands for shut down there is shutdown and restart there is just plain shut down to view the command what you can do in command prompt here is what you do.

Start>run>type cmd then command prompt will open
type shutdown and it will give u all these shutdown commands for logging off shutting down etc. u will see like shutdown -r and more.

Exit lol haha
