I believe the X-FI is their flagship card?... Which would lead me to believe it's pretty good.

x-fi has better decoding, its a newer card, and has a newer chip on it. It has more transistors than any of its preceeding audigy cards.

A flagship card is the newest generation, with new hardware and features. Usualy the card the company will advertise.

The X-Fi is Sound Blaster's newest and best card, for sound processing. I believe it is the best sound for value. If you cant afford it then I would suggest looking back to audigy 4 or audigy 2zs. But if you can afford it, it is a great buy for sound quality.
