Ram?

no I use 4 sticks its dual channel because its stick 1 and 3 and 2 and 4 which makes it dual channel, but if i took say stick 4 out then id have 1.5 gigs not working in dual.

also all sticks need to be the same such as:

1 gig in dual channel:
RAM slot 1: 512
RAM slot 2: empty
RAM slot 3: 512
RAM slot 4: empty

2 gig in dual channel:
RAM slot 1: 512
RAM slot 2: 512
RAM slot 3: 512
RAM slot 4: 512

OR
RAM slot 1: 1 gig
RAM slot 2: empty
RAM slot 3: 1 gig
RAM slot 4: empty

If, later, I wanted to upgrade my RAM to 2G could I just buy another 2 sticks of 512 or do I HAVE to have twin sticks of 1G? (expensive =/ )

If your mobo has 4 ram slots, then just adding 2 more 512's would be easier. And I believe when you add four it still DOES dual channel, though I've heard how it works is it just uses slot 1 and slot 4...? Seems sketchy to me, but I could sware I've read a thread discussing that. I'll try ta find it and edit this post when I so ^_~
