Harddrive Selection

Ok I've got from looking for minor upgrades to completely re-building my PC. With my 7800GT and MSI K8N Neo4-F Socket 939 NVIDIA nForce4 ATX AMD Motherboard I might as well get a new harddrive since they have to wipe the comp anyways (my current drive is over about 2 years old).

I don't want to spend alot, but I need a good harddrive at least around 80G and 7200rpm. The computer is for gaming. Please help me find and affordable hard drive that will last me quite a while. I'd prefer you chose it on newegg.com because that's where I'm buying the other parts.

look for Seagate or WD. Seagate are my favourite, their drives are high-quality, fast and quiet.

ditto WD or seagate. some people swear by maxtor but i wouldn't touch them with a ten foot pole. unlike apokalipse i myself am partial to WD

Seagate's have 5 year warranties, which is one reason I prefer them.
although if I couldn't get a Seagate I'd definately get a WD.

but yeah.
Maxtor seem to be unpredictable. some people get good Maxtors, some people get bad ones that die really shortly.
I just stay away from them.
