Weird error between Adobe Reader & Windows Messenger

For some reason now, when I open Adobe Acrobat Reader, the Windows Messenger 5.0 installation message pops up and it just freezes there. I've tried reinstalling Reader, but still not help. Weird, huh? Any suggestions? Anyone experienced/have same problem?

If you don't use windows messenger than try disabling it using the control panel

Uninstall messenger 5.0 by installing 4.7.

Then reinstall 5.0.

This worked for me when I had the same problem.
