New Video Card?

I'm using a NVIDIA GeForce FX 5200 right now and I'm looking to buy a new one, but I have no idea what to buy. Any suggestions?

Yea since you have an AGP slot, the highest you can go is a 6800GT.

Is the type of slot all that matters? Would the quality of the mobo affect the video card...?

There's much, much worse, but if you have the funds, it would definitely be better to upgrade =/

Depends on what computer you already have =/. Idk what your rig is. I meant the mobo maybe, etc etc. There's always room for upgrade after all . What're you currently running? What's it for?

Well, I got computer last year. My mom asked one of her friends to build it for me and I didn't really care for or know much about computers then, besides simple gaming.

Anyway...I don't know what you mean by rig. I don't know much about this computer.

AMD Athlon XP 1.35 GHz
512 MB DDR SDRAM over one stick
And that video card I mentioned earlier might be BFG...I dunno...

you can get an X850XT PE but no one likes those cards.

i say upgrade your mobo and get an eVGA 7800GT for 300 dollars.

but if you upgrade your mobo you MIGHT have to upgrade your cpu which means you MIGHT have to upgrade your ram, so in all its just a whole computer makeover
