after the install of sp2, try and install the game first just to see id the system was updated, if not the install DX9

It says i dont have permission to do install sp2 so idk why to do now. My dad said no matter what hes tried to do he could never install sp2

Where did you get this pc from? You all are admins rights? Is that a valid serial? It would be best to slipstream SP2 into XP using autostreamer and your problems will be gone, guaranteed.

its my dads sony vaio. He said that its been giving him issues latley and in a couple of months hes going to give me this pc and my step mom is giving me her laptop. Anyway finally figured it out. Just manually extract it and it works.
