Need for Speed Direct x issue

Ok i go to install Need for Speed Most Wanted and during install it says install direct x 9.0c to continue setup. So i do this by redistrobutional install and no go says same thing. I then get it by microsoft.com and no go still. I go and get direct x from nfs install and still no go. Ive rebooted after each install and it still wont work. All it says is please install direct x 9.0c to continue setup. What do i do?!?!?

what error message does it give you?
run dxdiag in the run box and see what it tells you

what do you want me to look for it, its loading up and it seems to say 9.0c for directx

go to direct x files and see if it says "No problems found"

All it says is continue setup and then you hit ok and nothing happens? Does the setup close or sit there or what?

ok i did install and again same thing, it says "installation cannot continue becasue this game requires directx 9.0c or higher to be installed on your computer" WTF?!?!?

Im sorry, I meant when you try to install DX, what happens?
