can u unlock and oc two cards in sli?

Exactly what subject is if i have two 7800gt's in sli can i unlock the pipes if lucky and oc or will it prevent me cause cards might not run same?

I was also thinking if i want to sli i was going to get two 6800gt's with 512mb vram or two 7800gt's and oc and unlock but idk if you can.

First of all, you can't unlock any pipes on a 7800GT. Second, a single 7800GT beats two 6800GTs in SLI in most cases. If you have the money for SLI, just do yourself a big favor and get a single BFG 7800GTX 512mb, which has clockspeeds of 580/1750, compared to the 256mb 7800GTX that has clockspeeds of 430/1250.
