im working on that ive been playing with card for a while now and i cant afford (actually i could got $3,000, but my mom wont let me spend it) to get one now. This cards gotta do the job for 1 more month. Any ideas still. Oh yeah and i did reformat, twice....

You don't need $3000 for a video card -- well, I take that back, mabey from alienware you do. Pick up a 6800GS for $200 on newegg, it will utterly and totally anniahlate the 9550se, and it overclocks like mad.

First of im saying i have $3,000, so money oviously isnt an issue. The problem is my mom doesnt want me spending any money till x-mas. 2nd, i have a 9600xt not a 9550 and especially not an se. I heard all se suck. And the equivalent to the 9800 pro is a 6600gt, so oviously a 6800gs would beat the schitt out of it.

Oh, sorry then, don't know where I saw 9550se  Well I guess all you can do is wait then... sorry

6600GT > 9800 Pro

So did you fix it, I was kinda confused looking through all the posts. Its probably driver issues.

Surprisingly, the 9800pro (or the 9800xt, I don't remember) takes a slight lead in preformance at high resolutions due to it's 256-bit memory. But the 6800GS fixes that.
