based on what i've seen here, this is what i'm going for:

my budget is whatever, but not alot, so theres some freedom there. My main function is multitasking. video editting, net surfing, burning, etc.

another thing that will help, is compatibility details regarding this setup. i'm smart, but i dont have enough time to research the snot out of this. you guys are the experts! thanks in advance

and just so everyone knows. i may get a 300 gig hd, recs would be great... it would be for video capture. i have like 4 120gig hds i would use.

sound would be via onboard for now. i have peripherals, floppy drives are just for bios flash (can you do this with a jump drive?).

memory timings

anyone have advice on memory timings? like a memory timings for dummy guide?

why do i care, what does it do, can i change that quality?
