CD Writer Problems / CD Problems

Quite like the problem a little below, I am having CD problems as well.

Computer Specs ::

Athlon 1.1GHZ
Win2K Pro
256MB

Basically the computer functions well, it has a DVD rom and a 52-24-52x CD Writer, which to my knowledge is a generic brand.





I reinstalled the drivers countless times, the computer recanizes the driver, saying that drive E: exists.

yet when I put a cd in, it doesn't recagnize that anything is in it at all.

and when you try to burn something, it says that you dont have the correct means of burning it...

So PLZ Help

hhhhhhhmmmmm.... i had the same problem with a liteon burner... wouldnt read cds, and couldnt burn lol
