The BFG 7800 GTX OC and the ATI X1800 XL 512mb:

I can't decide which one to get. They're both the same price so which one is better?

------------------------EDIT----------------------
X1800"XT" not "XL"

wait u said X1800XT on your subject but ATI X1800XL in your post? which one is it? i think if its the X1800XT its a little better than the 7800GTX. tomshardware has the charts

yeah the 512 is the way to go, unless its between the 256MB X1800XL or XT? then go with GTX or XT

Their not the same price... If you can even afford the 7800GTX, get it

7800GTX-512MB > X1800XT > 7800GTX-256MB > 7800GT-256MB > X1800XL.

The 7800GTX-512MB is by far the best, MUCH better than the X1800XT.

The X1800XT, however, is A BIT better than the 7800GTX, but is $100+ more.

The 7800GT is better than the X1800XL, but the X1800XL is still mroe expensive.

Sorry, let me clarify a little more...

-BFG 7800 GTX OC 256MB

-ATI X1800 XT 512MB

I have to go through my company's supplier and the price on each is $540. I already ordered the 7800GTX but it has been back ordered for a month already. The X1800XT just became available through my company so I can cancel the 7800GTX order if the X1800XT is better.

From the comparisons I've seen it looks like the X1800XT512 out-benchmarks the 7800GTX256 by 1000 in each category in 3DMark05.

Also, I probably won't need to overclock either of them because which ever one I get is going to be ten times better than anything I've ever had. BUT which one is better for OCing if I chose to do so.

3dmark means nothing ;) its all about real world gaming in BF2, FEAR, DOOM3, etc.

that is a way overpriced GTX, you can get one now for 450 dollars :D but if you have the money i guess go with the X1800XT
