Opteron 148 venus or athlon 3700 san diego?

I have the 148 and i have it at 2.4 stable and can go even further if i wanted to. Get the Opteron man, its alot cheaper and will give you same performance.

you can not ask that question as it is based on the stepping, mobo, power supply, and ram if you are running 1:1 ratio

What would be the difference with an DFI ultra-D, 550W Antec Truepower PSU, and 2GB OCZ Platinum RAM.

well you could get a really good stepping on your 3700+ san diego and get liek 2.8Ghz and get a crappy stepping on your opteron an only get 2.4Ghz

If it were me i would go for the cheapest one. And sorry about the pervious reply i forgot that opteron was AMD
