i am getting following error while shutting down:

The instruction 0x73dd1c65 referenced memory at 0x00000000. The memory could not be read. Click ok to terminate.

os is win xp

if anyone can help with this.

i have ran ad-aware, spybot and a full scan of norton.

So is this a blue screen or an error message in windows? but the computer will still shut down?

Im not sure how to fix it, but if you computer shuts down and starts up fine, when you go to turn it on. Then I wouldn't worry about it.

Make this registry Edit so you don't see it again.

Dramatically improve menu speeds and application and system shutdown/restart speeds

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop]

AutoEndTasks=1 Automatically closes running applications when Windows shuts down.

hi,

this is not a blue screen , just a error dialog and after clicking 'ok' , computer shuts down and boots fine. no problems with that.
