All of a sudden it doesnt want to work. Everytime I put a floppy disk into it, the light would flash continously and when I click on "3½ Floppy (A: )all that comes up is it saying there is no disk in the drive.
the drive is probably stuffed. about the only thing there is you could check is that the cable is plugged in correctly. any new hardware recently around the time it stopped working?
does the pc boot from floppy? if it does that probably points to a windows error. if it doesn't your looking at a trashed floppy drive. use it as a paperweight and buy another one, they're like $5 australian so thats about $3.75 US
well thats good make sure when you plug the ribbon cable back in that the red wire is on the opposite side of the cable to the power plug. thats normally the correct way. if it isn't you'll know because when you turn the pc on the light on the floppy will probably stay on and you should get an error.
