Go with a Zalman CNSP9500... It will cool better than the 7700.

Get the dual core 4400+, it will own here shortly, hell it already does. Get the eVGA like mentioned. Don't get the 64bit windows like mentioned as well.

I would spring the dough for a raptor hdd... It will be faster than anything else SATA or IDE out there. It is totally worth the extra money, things will load faster, much faster.

It is on sale right now! http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16822144160

$20 mail in rebate, can't beat that price for that performance.

Well I agree with everything you have said here but I am still going with the Zalman fan

And which eVga do you think I should get?

read the posts above yours.... the thermaltake big typhoon is better, and cheaper. its really your choice which video card to get... you just have to decide how much you want to pay for pre overclocking.

yep lazerman thats it

Yes this is it lol. I looked at the packaging picture...

I'm sure the heatsink could be lapped to deliver better results, and a higher cfm fan could be used as well.

As for the video card, the first one on this page will be the cheapest and at stock speeds:

The second one down will be the step up from the first one (top one), and the very bottom one will be the almost best. The best 7800GTX out right now is the 512mb one. I didn't see an eVGA 7800GTX 512mb on Newegg though.

Here is a BFG Tech 512mb 7800GTX:

I would personally go for the middle one and overclock it:

Well, it performs well but looks like a ***** to install. (Typhoon)

Quote"This is quite possibly the worst mounting kit ever devised. Not only does it require a good deal of expert skill to know how much tension to apply, but the entire process is extremely protracted, requiring around one hour to complete the process. And few technicians are likely to have the required wrench handy."

Wow. Now I seriously don't know wether to get that or the CNSP9500. That Typhoon looked like crap.

I know. I get whatever cools the best. However long it may take to install.

I still think I am going with the Typhoon. The one pictured on newegg looks alot better in quality and has different mounting hardware... I just don't know how far to tighten it down. I do know you use a criss-cross pattern when bolting it down though.

Yea I was thinking that as well, but didn't recommend it because they keep changing the prices around...

It is better quality (tested for durability) than that Toldeo x2.

the main thing that jumped out at me about your rig was the (sorry) slow hard drive. that board supports SATA150 not to mention RAID. with the capibilities of that dual core chip you are going to be running into the wall waiting for the hard drive to catch up. I would recommend 2X western digital rapture 10K on RAID 0. set you back another $400 unfortunately but hey, you gotta pay to play! Peace!
