Need info on a good hardware / reasonably priced setup for a new computer. Mother board, CPU, video card, drives, ..... the whole works.

Looking to build a computer that can handle programs such as Adobe Photo Shop. Editing pix as hugh as 700 mb data that takes quite a long time to load.

Also, for converting DVD to SVCDs and Wav files to MP3.

Need the speed.

For that type of stuff I would suggest a Dual Athon MP setup with an MSI motherboard. Lots of DDR 333 ram and perhaps a Raid 0+1 array. Also, for picture and video editing, you cant beat a high end Matrox Video Card.

Since it's office type apps.. It should be Dual intel Xeons @2.4 Ghz. Xeons have Hyperthreading.. Which in result makes windows think there are 4 cpu's. And Photoshop has support for multiprocessors.
