Gonna upgrade today, or this weekend atleast.

Question: Can I use all my old programs? Will I notice a performance difference?

Don't get it, ive heard it is very buggy, rather wait for Vista to be released.
Most of your programs should work, but you won't be able to get a lot of drivers.

Yeah the drivers are the BIG problem... there is none for my sound card, and digital camera, and some more, don't remember I know that about a month ago it was almost impossible to mount an image, but since the new Deamon-tools is released...

Ive heard it runs rather fine, other than the mass driver problems... I would just wait for vista.

I was using it for a while, maybe a week. It worked fine but there isnt to much support for it yet. Again I couldnt get sound card drivers and some of the games I played were glitchy compared to the 32bit xp pro. I agree with anphrax, wait for vista.

Yes it's a great OS execpt you will have a hard time finding 64 bit drivers for your system.

If you haven't tried a product for yourself you have no right taking someone elses review and as a statment of fact thats just how I look at things.
