How do I install SP2 on xp pro not genuine?

my friend gave it to me and gave some serial
he did not bought it

Download the redistributable version.

Slipstream it into the OS cd, reinstall OS with the slipstream and badabing badabomb you have SP2. This way you don't have to worry about apply SP2 everytime you reinstall.

I don't think you can get by SP2 if you have an invalid key because it's programmed to check that.

windows doesnt check for fake versions of xp pro

xp home however...you cant even go on the net without a real copy of it!!!

Look you all, its not the OS that is your problem. It is the serial number. If you use Home or Pro version, you will have to activate it. The only way around this is to use a volume license serial. Any other serial, once activsted 3 times, you either need to call MS or find a new serial that has not been activated. End of subject.
