asus A8N-SLI Deluxe vcore voltage issues

I am attempting to overclock a computer with the following specifications:

AMD X2 4200+
1 gig of corsair xms
Asus A8N-SLI Deluxe mobo

My problem is with the vcore. I upped the voltage to 1.40 and got up to 2,420 from 2,200. Then i upped the voltage to 1.45 and when i go anywhere higher than 220x11 it crashes. I check the Asus pcprobe and the vcore is 1.408-1.420. It isn't even hitting 1.45. Does anyone know what could be going on here? Is it my mobo or are just all asus' vcore's generally unstable?

its the mobo. all the asus mobo are completerly unstable. i have the same problem. when i set mine to 1.55 i get between 1.5 and 1.65 :'( ITS A HORRIBLE MOBO

Yeah Asus mobo's are fairly bad at delivering good clean power.
