I have a 24" Widescreen Sony CRT.
My monitor starts up with Horizontal lines from the top to bottom. The screen shakes a bit and the corners are blurry (text, etc). This occurs after the monitor has been off for a while (overnight, etc.)
After the monitor has settled in for about 30minutes things clear up enough that all is relatively well. However, there are horizontal lines that go from top to bottom that are visible on darker backgrounds. This is consistent and NEVER goes away.
Is my monitory slowly dying? or perhaps a video card thing?
I am not talking about the 2 horizontal lines that are always present on some CRTs (aperture grill stuff). Right now on a dark desktop I see about 20 faint horizontal lines that converge into a ton of lines towards the upper right and upper left corners.
Any help/input is greatly appreciated.
